Hey HS Runners! What's better than a fun relay with your buddies? How about a FREE fun relay with your buddies and PRIZES? Yea, that'll do! As such, we're pleased to partner with Saucony for the first ever "Channel Challenge" on Friday, July 15th at 9am.

Logistics:

  • HS runners only (graduates of 2011 and incoming frosh both fine)
  • 4 runners per team.
  • Course is out and back on Channel drive, twice, for a total of 8 miles. Starts at the base of Richardson.
  • Each runner must run at least once.
  • Athletes "hand off" wherever/however they want. You can each run two miles, or two one-miles or whatever. Legs need not be equal.
  • Batons are not necessary but highly encouraged!
  • Saucony Prizes: First place boys team and first place girls team wins prizes from Saucony! (All 4 must be girls to count for the girls team prizes)
  • Saucony Give-Aways: Saucony will have some fun giveaways for all participants!
  • Saucony Tryons: Saucony will be bringing some shoes to try on/show off, so come check out new styles!
  • Sacony Flats: New Saucony XC Racing Flats will be on display, so check out your future racers!

Parking: There is parking at the base of Richardson, though it requires a nominal ($6) fee. This fee goes towards keeping our great park open. While there are other ways to run into the park, this parking location is very convenient and will greatly help our state parks.

RSVP to Alex Wolf-Root to receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a free pair of Saucony shoes!
